To the President of the Commissioners. Greetings to the Land Commissioners: As directed by the near law enacted in 1845 and in effect at this time, as I understand it, I, the one whose name is below, have five lo`i and a kula in the Ahupua`a of Kalihi in the `lli of Haunapo, whose landlord is Kaailauhali. We are the tenants and hold it at this time. There is also a house lot and two pools for liberating fish at Kalihi kai in the same Ahupua`a of Kalihi. In witness of this I hereby describe them to you, the Land Commissioners.

Haupu, claim no. 2710 in the ili of Haunapo of Kalihi ahupuaa, Kona, Oahu do hereby grant and convey outright all of my interest lying in Haunapo to Anekolio Kuheleaumoku, one of my younger brothers to his heirs and substitutes after him forever. I shall have no remaining claim by this document not my heirs and substitutes after me. I shall not deny hereafter this statement is binding, just as this document is true. I pen my signature in truth and with a sound mind and without a doubt on this 24th day of May, 1853 inHonolulu, Oahu.
