Greetings to you. I, a native of the island of Kauai, stand before you to state my land claim /which extends/ from 1838 until this day on which is has been stated to the subjects of the King, the ruler of the Hawaiian Islands, that you, the Commissioners, will verify the claims of the subjects of the King.
The occupancy is as follows: Kaikioewa, the Governor of this island, gave me this place in which to live. Its size is 5 chains on the east side, 6 chains on the south side, 5 chains on the west side, and also six chains on the north side. That is the size of my place given me by Kaikioewa, however, I have not rented, nor has any one /else/ occupied it until this day.

Kahue's interests are in the boundaries surrounding Namauu's land.
