I beg leave to lay before you my claim to a land situated in Lahaina Maui, known by the name of Kamanoitiva; given me by Kakauanohi in the year 1829 for services rendered her, and was taken away from me by Kahumanu in 1831.

.... t know how he got it. I head him say he got it from Kekauonohi at the time Hoapili gave me my building spot, He pointed out the bounds below a large taro patch. A Native who was standing there said: that land belonged to a Houri Phillips. I could not then take it. He pointed out another land on the upper bonte[?][boundary?].
This claim is suspended until the arrival of competent Witness.
