Wailuku is the large area, Puuohala is the small area, an `ili within. This petition was written in the year of the Lord, 1847, on the 22nd day of December. Ohuanui is my claim for land. Auwae was the one over Wailuku at that time. How is it? Is it not a right? Perhaps it is. When Auwae died, his son, Kawailepolepo, inherited it, and Ohuanui was my land. When he died, that was my land, from then until Kailihiwa had Wailuku. The occupation of the land was continuous, I did not go away, and so one, until Keahi had Wailuku. Is this not a right? Here is this petition for the lo`is. I have ten of them and mauka of them is my kula. It is enclosed by the soil of /from; the water flow. I have a place of raging water.
