Greetings to the Land Commissioners meeting at Halekauila, the persons whom the Legislature appointed to administer the land claims of the people of Hawaii to Kauai: The person living in Wailuku on the Island of Maui, hereby states his claims in various places in Wailuku.
In the `ili of Halaula are 3 lo`i in Hamamao; in the ili of Kalaeloa are 6 lo`i in Kalua; in the mo`o of Kekuauli are 13 lo`i, also a small kula is there; at Haliiau, an `ili in Wailuku are 30 lo`i. Its boundaries are the land of Owa on the east, a stream on the west, also on the north, a watercourse on the south. At Kuunaheana iki, in the `ili of Namailou, is 1 lo`i. That is the number of my lo`i which I cultivate in Wailuku.
It is finished.

Kawelohea, sworn, I know the Mauka parcel, of Iao, in Wailuku. These lo`is at Iao were from me, from the time of Kamehameha I. There is no opposition.

Maalaea by the same.
Kaai (Wahine), sworn, I know this parcel of taro in the `Ili of Kalua in Wailuku. His land at Kalua was from me, before 1830. There is no opposition.
