On COMPROMISE AND EQUITABLE SETTLEMENT
By this Patent the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of Public Lands, acting under and by authority of Section 379 of the Revised Laws of Hawaii of 1915 and with the approval of two-thirds of the members of the Board of Public Lands, Territory of Hawaii, makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed unto LAUPAHOEHOE SUGAR COMPANY, an Hawaiian Corporation for the consideration of the conveyance by the Laupahoehoe Sugar Company to the Territory of Hawaii of certain [crossed out section] lands situate at Waipunalei, North Hilo, Hawaii, the same being the land mentioned and more particularly described in a Quitclaim Deed dated June 13, 1922, on file in the office of the Commissioner of Public Lands, for the purpose of compromise and equitably settling the claim of the said Laupahoehoe Sugar Company against the Territory of Hawaii, all of the land situate at KAPEHU-WELOKA, in the District of NORTH HILO, Island of HAWAII, bounded and described as follows:
