On Right of Purchase Lease Under Part VII. of The Land Act of 1895
By This Patent the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed unto H.M. Wells, for the consideration of Seven Hundred Seven Dollars, $707.00 paid into the Treasury, and for the further consideration of his having complied with the terms and conditions of Part VII. of the Land Act of 1895, and Section 420 et seq. of the Revised Laws of Hawaii of 1915, and in pursuance of Right of Purchase Lease No. 103, Fourth Land District, all of the land situate at Kuiaha-Pauwela in the District of Makawao, Island of Maui, bounded and described as follows:
Right of Purchase Lease No. 103.
Lot No. 11, Registered Map No. 2466, Fourth Land District.
Kuiaha- Pauwela Homesteads.
Beginning at an iron rail on the South boundary of this lot, and on the East side of 40 foot road, on North end of a sharp ridge between West Kuiaha and Pauwela Gulches, the coordinates of said iron rail reffered to Government Survey Trig. Station "Kauhikoa" being 6884.9 feet North and 1638.6 feet East, as shown on Government Survey Registered Map No. 2466, and runnning by true azimuths:
1. 121° 58' 973.3 feet along 40 foot road;

.... , thereafter, whether before or after a homestead lease or patent has been issued thereon, be or be contracted to be in any way, directly or indirectly, by process of law or otherwise, conveyed, mortgaged, leased or otherwise transferred to or acquired or held by or for the benefit of any alien or corporation; or, before or after the issuance of a homestead lease or before the issuance of a patent, to or by or for the benefit of any other person; or, after the issuance of a patent, to or by or for the benefit of any person who owns, holds, or controls, directly or indirectly, other land or the use thereof the combined area of which and the land in question exceeds eighty acres. Provided, That these prohibitions shall not apply to transfers or acquisitions by inheritance or between tenants in common. Any land in respect of which any of the foregoing provisions shall be violated shall forthwith be forfeited and resume the status of public land and may be recovered by the Territory or its successors in an action of ejectment or other appropriate proceedings."
In Witness Whereof, The Acting Governor of the Territory of Hawaii has hereto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the Territory to be hereunto affixed, this fourth day of March, A.D. 1920.
