Mahuka had given him his land before 1839 and he has lived there to the present time. I have not known that anyone has objected, unless it has been the government, perhaps.
Kuihelani, sworn, I have known just as Mahana does about the boundaries and life there but I have not known of anyone who has objected. I have hearsay only that the government had protested.
