To the Board of Land Commissioners, &c. Gentlemen: In pursuance of your public notice I have to inform you that in 1841 Na Akahi gave me permission to reside on Wainui, as belonging to her, since which time I have resided thereon. and continued the tanning business and coffee cultivation ever since. I pay to her an annual rent of the land I occupy,
