By this Patent the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed unto J.M. Dowsett for the consideration of Sixty-nine Thousand Seven Hundred 00/100 Dollars $69700 00/100, paid into the Treasury. And in conformity with Part IV Section 17 of the Land Act of 1895, all of land situate at Waianae Kai, in the District of Waianae, Island of Oahu bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at a stone marked thus [up arrow], 54 feet from the center of bend in flumes, said point being a point on the boundary of the forest reserve, the coordinates of this point from Government Survey Trig. Station “Paheehee (Mauka)” being North 5730.7 feet and West 1624.0 feet, as shown on Government Survey Registered Map No. 2380, and running by true azimuths:
