By this its Patent the Government of the Republic of Hawaii makes known to all men that It has this day granted and given unto John Shane for the consideration of Two Hundred ($200 00/100) Dollars paid into the Exchequer and for the further consideration of his having complied with the terms and conditions of the Homestead Act of 1890, all that piece of land situate at Kaapahu, in the District of Hamakua, Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Lot No. 13, Homestead Map No. 3
Beginning at the West corner of Lot 12 at 30 foot Road, this point being South 2533 feet East 402 feet approximately from Kalanai Station, thence running by true bearings:
1. South 22° 20' West 375 feet along 30 foot Road;
2. South 24° 35' West 402 feet along 30 foot Road;
