By this its Patent the Government of the Republic of Hawaii makes known to all men that It has this day granted and confirmed unto Wilmot Vredenberg for the consideration of Two Hundred and Eighteen 72/100 ($218 72/100) Dollars paid into the Exchequer and for the further consideration of his having complied with the terms and conditions of the Part X of the Land Act of 1895, all that piece of land situate at Puukapu, in the District of Waimea, Island of Hawaii and described as follows:
Lots 35-36.
Beginning at a point on South side of Government road, joining Lot 33, thence the boundary runs ....

Excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government all mineral and metalic mines of every description.
To have and to hold the above Granted Land in Fee Simple unto the said Wilmot Vredenberg, his heirs and assigns for ever.
In Witness Whereof, the President of the Republic of Hawaii has hereto set his hand and caused the great Seal of the Republic to be hereunto affixed, this 15th day of March A.D. 1897.
