Royal Patent Grant
Liliuokalani, By the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islands, By this Her Royal Patent makes known to all men that She hath for herself, her heirs and successors, this day granted and given unto, for the consideration of, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that piece of Land situate at, in the Island of, and described as follows:
Whereas by an Act entitled "An Act to settle the Title to certain Unawarded Lands and to Authorize a compromise with the Trustees under the Will of the late Bernice Pauahi Bishop, approved on the 14th day of November A.D. 1890, it was enacted that upon the delivery to the Minister of the Interior of a quit claim deed from the Trustees under the Will of the late Bernice Pauahi Bishop of all of their interest in and to the following tracts of land, viz:
Haiku, 1 and 2, Hilo Hawaii
Kaiaakea, Hilo Hawaii
Kaluaakailio, Hilo Hawaii
Kaumana, Hilo Hawaii
Kauuiho, 1 and 2, Hilo Hawaii
Lepoloa, Hilo Hawaii
Mauluaiki, Hilo Hawaii
Piha, 1 and 2, Hilo Hawaii
Waikaumalo, Hilo Hawaii
Kaapako, Hilo Hawaii
Kaieie, Hilo Hawaii
Mohakea, 1 and 2, Kau, Hawaii
A Patent shall issue to said Trustees for the following land viz. The Ahupuaa of Kaunakakau, Molokai. The Ahupuaa of Paauau, Kau Hawaii. The unawarded portion of the Ili of Kaakaukukui, Oahu. And whereas a quit claim deed of said premises has been delivered by the Trustees under the Will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop to the Minister of the Inter[ior] in Liber 130 on pages 163, 164 and 165.

Liliuokalani, Queen as aforesaid doth hereby grant and give unto Charles R. Bishop, Samuel M. Damon, Charles M. Hyde, Charles M. Cooke and Joseph O. Carter trustees under the will of said Bernice Pauahi Bishop, their successors and assigns, all of the following tracts of land viz.
1st The Ahupuaa of Kaunakakai situated on the Island of Molokai and more particularly described as follows
Commencing at a stone marked with a cross at sea and near Government road at place called Koheo from which stone the Government Survey Station Kaumakakai bears North 83° 17' West true and Puu Luahine bears North 0° 33' West true and running
1. North 25° 8' East true 1915 feet along Kapaakea to a cross on a stone on a hill called Puu Maniniholo
2. North 32° 57' East true 6559 feet along Kapaakea to a cross on a stone amongst a lot of rocks, near a kukui tree at a place called Kukuiokahoalii
3. North 24° 31' East true 4904 feet along Kapaakea across large gulc ....

1. North 48° 15' East true 2450 feet along the above mentioned ridge to a point which is the East corner of the J.H. Wood land
2. North 75° 00' East true 6500 feet along said ridge along Luakaha the ridge being the boundary to the sharp peak Kaumuhonu
3. South 51° 10' West true 3885 feet along Manoa Valley the edge of the Pali being the boundary to the mauka east corner of Kalawahine
4. North 49° 30' West true 800 feet along Kalawahine to a rock marked K just above a rocky hollow where the path up Pauoa Valley emerges into the open plain of Kapukaawapuhi
5. South 59° 10' West true 3103 feet down the middle of Pauoa Valley along land of Kalawahine
6. South 55° 40' West true 1810 feet down Pauoa Valley along Kalawahine to the South corner of this land, which is North 55° 40' East 396 feet from the West corner of Kalawahine as fixed by C.J. Lyons
7. North 32° 05' West true 440 feet to the South east corner of Grant 2589
8. North 2° 40' West true 780 feet along said Grant up spur of ridge to the initial point.
Area 224 Acres
Containing Acres more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metalic mines of every description.
To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said, Heirs and Assigns forever.
Witness Ourself, at Honolulu, this day of 18, in the, year of Our Reign.
