Kalakaua, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this, His Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself, his heirs and successors, this day granted and given unto S.C. Allen, in consideration of a certain deed of conveyance of a certain land situate on the East corner of Fort & Beretania Streets in Honolulu from said S.C. Allen to the Hawaiian Government of even[?[ date herewith & recorded in the Registry of Deeds in Book [left blank] on pages [left blank] and also in consideration of the sum of $3000. for the consideration of, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that piece of Land situate at the makai side of Queen Street, Honolulu ....
