Kalakaua, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, By this, His Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself, his heirs and successors, this day granted and given unto Mrs. Emma M. Beckley for certain equitable considerations and for the further consideration of Three Hundred ($300 00/00) dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that piece of Land situate at Kalihi, Kona Oahu, being comprised of portions of the Ilis of Niau & Kalaiawa, in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on Mauka side of Government Road which point bears from East angle of bridge North 60° 5 ....

To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said Mrs. Emma M. Beckley, her Heirs and Assigns forever. Upon condition that the said Granatee shall forthwith give and grant to the Hawaiian Government a right of road way, for the public, of the width of fifty five feet at least over the adjoining land of the said Grantee in continuation of the aforesaid reserved road.
Witness Ourself, at Honolulu, this twenty-first day of September, 1881, in the Eighth year of Our Reign.
