Kalakaua, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, By this, His Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself, his heirs and successors, this day granted and given unto W.J. Smith, for the consideration of Four hundred and fifty - $450.00 dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that piece of Land situate at Kulaokahua Plains, known as Lots 370, 372, & 374 on Government map in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Lot 370.
Beginning at a point on South side of Kewalo Street 237 2/10 ....

In default of either of the said conditions the said W.J. Smith shall pay to the Minister of the Interior the sum of Nine hundred dollars as and by way of liquidating damages.
