To the Honorable Board of Land Commissioners:
I, the undersigned citizen of U.S. America begs to lay before your body his claim to a certain parcel of land in Honolulu, based on an Instrument of Conveyance from Ayoung (Chinaman) dated 26 August 1847, and is particularly described in the notes of survey by T. Ayoung acquired his title by purchase about 10 years since of Aniani, and has had possession ever since, until the above transfer to undersigned, who is ready at summons to offer his evidence of his claim.

The undersigned also submits to your board for confirmation his claim to the lease occupation of a certain other parcel of land leased to him by instrument of lease from Peter Anderson, dated November 1, 1844 describing particulars, and in survey of T. .... d 10 or 12 years since. He lived on it peaceably and had peaceable possession of it from the time he obtained it from Aniani until he sold it to Doctor Wood. Aniani was a man of authority, having some charge of the King's lands, and I suppose he gave Ayong this in consequence. This lot forms part of the enclosure known as Dr. Wood's dwelling house lot, and is situated in Honolulu

(This claim is for two lots in one enclosure)

Same claim continued, part II

Stephen Reynolds, sworn, I know this lot. It is in Honolulu, makai of Hotel St. and forms part of the dwelling house lot now occupied by Dr. Wood. I do not know when Peter Anderson went to live on this lot but I know he was living there in 1823 and, as far as I know, occupied it in peace to his death about 4 years since. I have heard he received this lot from Kamehameha I for services. I only know it from hearsay of Captain Adams and P. Anderson.

John Neddles, solemnly affirmed that he knows the lot. I know Anderson was living on it in 1822 or 1823 and he possessed the same in peace up to the time of his death in 1844 or 1845. I do not know how he acquired his title. I have been on the Island 40 years. Anderson was a sail maker.

The above land is described in the application upon stamp above referred to as "forming the rear part of the house lot now occupied by me as a place of residence; which piece of land is more particularly described in the accompanying survey made by Metcalf. I beg to petition the King in Privy Council, through Your Highness, for a fee simple title to the same, in order that I may hold the same to my Hawaiian heirs & assigns for ever; and constitutes part I under the above number.
