Kamehameha IVV, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this His Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto A. Unaa, J.E. Cook and W.G. Needham his faithful and loyally disposed subject[s] for the consideration of One Thousand dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Wananalua, Hana in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
In the following proportions. A. Unna four tenths, J.E. Cook three ten ....

The within Royal Patent No. 2962 was issued in lieu of Royal Patent No. 70 granted to M. Fixen in December 1847 and cancelled by the Hawaiian Government. The title to the land described by Royal Patent No. 70 having become reverted in the Government.
