KAMEHAMEHA IV, By the grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Its Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto J. Richardson, his faithful and loyally disposed subject, for the consideration of the sum of $438 00/100 cents paid into the Royal Exchequer all that piece of Land situated at Puunui a fort land in Honolulu in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:
Apana 6. 1 Loi & Kalo.
Commencing at the North corner mauka of this lot joining Kaiwi's & Kaha's along the stone wall at the stone X, Thence
South 51° 30' East 125 links along Kaha's
South 44° West 132 link ....

To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said J. Richardson, his Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council equally, upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In Witness Whereof, I have thereunto set my Hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, at Honolulu, this day of 28 day of July 1859.
