To the Land Commissioners, in Honolulu, Greetings: I hereby enter our claim, with my makuakane, Kauiaole, for six lo`i and the kula places, in the `ili of Kaukahoku, Honolulu, Oahu. There are four parcels, as follows:

Parcel 1. 2 lo`i
Parcel 2. 2 lo`i and a cultivated kula.
Parcel 3. 2 lo`i
Parcel 4. kula which has been completely fenced.

It was gotten by Keauiaole from John A. Kuakini when he was the Gover-nor of Oahu in the year 1831, perhaps. He lived there with no obje ....

.... he lived there till he had a military discharge for physical reasons. Keauiaole was a soldier for the konohiki land under the fort, Mahoe has the same status at present.

Opunui has secretly claimed the pasture section, it was for Mahoe. He and Keauiaole had fenced it, the tenants also had worked on it on work days, but Mahoe had done much work at night, very soon the enclosure was completed as a result.
