South 79° West 22 chains to old site of Halau, called Koalani, thence
South 85° West 6 chains to the edge of the woods, forming the extreme Northwestern angle of the land, thence along the edge of the woods,
South 21° East 6.30 chains to junction with the stream Wahalea, forming the extrema Southwestern angle of this land, thence following down the course of the stream (Wahalea), to the point of beginning.
Reserving the Rights of Native Tenants
Containing 127.19 Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metallic Mines of every description.
To have and to hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said John Pelham, his Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council equally, upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my Hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, at Honolulu, this eleventh day of July, 1853.
