Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claims for some lo`is and a small kula at Mokuhau, consisting of sixteen lo`i and one kula. At Puako are eleven lo`i and one kula. At Imieu are fourteen lo`i and one kula. At Pohakuokauahi are five lo`i and one kula. At Halaula are seven lo`i which I have at this time -- there are twenty-one lo`i there from which I was dispossessed by Kailihiwa. You should consider this: At Halaula are two lo`i, at Kalua are two lo`i, at Paukukalo are five lo`i, At Paukukalo are five lo`i, totalling eighty-three lo`i and four kulas. Witnesses: Z. Kaauwai, Kapuaa, Kamoku, Nailiili. Here is another claim of which I tell you, Lupeloi, these are my acres and I think that this is my interest.

Z. Kaauwai, sworn, I know the lands of the claimant in part. I know three pieces of his land in Wailuku.

No. 1 is a kalo land in the ili of Mokuhau.
No. 2 is a kalo land in the ili of Puako.
No. 3 is a field of sugar cane in Owa.

.... sworn, I know of two lo`i in the `Ili of Kalua in Wailuku from Nahalepuoa in 1826, with no one opposing.

The boundaries are:
Mauka by Lukua
Waihee by Kamakauahoa
Makai by Luhua
Maalaea by konohiki.

Apiki, sworn, I know of two parcels of taro in the `Ili of Halaula 1. They were from me before the law was enacted, and there is no opposition.

Waihee by stream pali
Makai by Meeau
Maalaea by Government road.

2. enters within parcel 1. This parcel 2 was wrongly taken by Kaililhiwa in 1837, and has been in the hands of the konohiki from that time until the present.

Kaakaihanu, sworn, I know of two lo`i ponds at Paukukalo. It was I who gave them in 1846, and I had them in 1845 from I. Kaeo.

They are bounded:

Waihee by Kahale
Makai by sea shore
Maalaea by the Po`alima of the Mo`i.
