Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Uekalohe, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Sixteen 60/100 paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao in the Island of Maui and described as follows:

Commencing at stake at North corner of this and West corner of Kauwila's on side Hill, and running
South 38° 15' West 11 chains 46 2/12 feet along m ....
