Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Kiaipu, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Eleven 62/100 paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Makawao in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
Commencing at stake at West corner of this land and East corner of Kekalo's land, and running
North 70° 30' East 7 chains 56 feet along Ohule&apo ....
