Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto William Burke, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Fifty seven 37/100 Dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kawainui 2, Hilo in the Island of Hawaii and described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwestern corner at a stake a little above the intersection of a small stream with the Main road on the boundary line of this Land & Kukuikea from thence along the main road running acrofs this land
South 38° East 6 Chains, thence
South 29° East 3 Chains 33 feet to extreme South western corner of this survey at a stake on the edge of main road at its intersection with a footpath running up to the woods bein ....
