KAMEHAMEHA III, By the grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Abner Wilcox, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Five Hundred & One 68/100 Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land, situated at Lepeuli, Koolau in the Island of Kauai, and described as follows:
Commencing at the sea beach at a large rock called Pakala, which stands on the North West corner of this land and upon the boundary between Lepeuli & Waipake, running from thence along the sea beach
South 60° East 44.50 Chains to a ledge of rocks which forms the boundary between Lepeuli and Kaakaaniu, from thence along said boundary crossing the Hanalei & Koloa road
South 36° West 84 Chains to the edge of the pali bounding the valley of Maloaa on the West from thence along the ed ....
