Kamehameha III, By the grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Artemas Bishop, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of One Hundred & Seventy nine Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land, situated at Kalena, Waianae, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:
Beginning at a rock at the junction of the stream of Moohiokea with that of Kalena at the Eastern corner and proceeding
South 56° West 5 Chains along the border of Moohiokea, thence
South 68° West 5 Chains along Moohiokea, thence
South 16° East 2 Chains, thence
South 70° West 3 Chains, thence
North 77° 1/2 West 3.85 Chains along Moohi ....
