Kamehameha III, By the grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple unto William Fredenburg, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of One Hundred and Sixty-five Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Paeahu, Kula, in the Island of Maui, and described as follows:
Beginning at the North West corner of the land surveyed for William Wilcox whence the Southern Peak of Miller's Hill bears
South 43° 50' West and running
South 86° ....
