ROYAL PATENT.
Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto James Louzada, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty-six 10/100 Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Pualinaapau Waikiki [sic Waikapu] in the Island of Maui, and described as follows:
Commencing at South and mauka corner of this land, joining Pohaku loa on mauka and Pilipili on South side and running
North 2° 30' East 2 chains 58 feet along between this land and Pohakuloa to angle, in wall, thence
North 10° 30' East 4 chains 62 1/2 feet along Pohakuloa & Puhiawawa (William Humphrey's) to angle in wall thence
