Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Warren Goodale, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty five Hundred Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Puna in the Island of Kauai and described as follows:
Beginning at a post on a bluff called Puunalei, on the North bank of Nawiliwili brook whence the East end of Lihue meetinghouse bears North 18° 30' West distant 15 27/100 Chains, and a sharp peak look ....
