Royal Patent
Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto T.C.B. Rooke, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Services rendered, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Waolani in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Commencing at the rock known as the Pohaku Aumiumi, situated on the outside of the Waolani fence on the land called Laimi, and running
South 12° West 6 Chains to an angle in the fence, thence
South 30° West 2 65/100 Chains, thence
South 40° West 4 3/10 Chains to a rock built into Mr. Jaspers Wall, thence
South 50° West 2 78/100 Chains to the corner of a taro patch, thence West 1 Chain to an angle in the water course, thence
