Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this his Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted & given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto William H. Rice in Trust for Kanakaiki, E.W. Clark, Kealohi, Kealohapauole, T, Metcalf, Kamaikoihulipu, Haalelea, Mamalu, Heolo, Kahiapo, Kanehailoa, Paniani, Kaohe, Kaianui, Naioeha, Komo, Nakoko, Hoopii, Palea, Haena, Oolo, Kuikuikahi, Malo, Keawe, Kanekalio, Elemakule, Kaululaau, Kaaipia, Kapule, Kaana, Opunui, Kanui & Kaamakaowakea, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Five Hundred & Thirteen Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated on the right side of Manoa Valley, Island of Oahu & described as follows:
Commencing at Kukui stake on Pulena ridge at West corner of Koloalu, belonging to W. H. Rice, joining Kamoawaa and running along down Pulena ridge to rocked marked + at mauka North corner of land ....
