Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Joseph Lovell, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Fifty Eight Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Mananaiki, Ewa in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Commencing at mauka North corner of this land and running
South 61° 30' West 1 Chain 27 feet along Kapauwela to angle, thence
South 35° West 1 9/10 Chains to corner, thence
North 59° 30' West 41 7/12 feet to corner, thence
South 40° West 52 2/12 feet to corner, thence
South 59° East 20 1/2 feet to corner, thence
South 41° 15' West 2 Chains 8 7/12 feet to corner, thence
