Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Edmund H. Rogers, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Twenty nine Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Manoa Valley in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Commencing at Kukui tree marked A, on makai edge of Naniuapoo stream, little above its junction with Lualaia stream and running
South 74° 30' East 1 Chain 41 feet along Naniuapoo stream to bend, thence
North 42° 45' East 4 Chains 10 feet along up stream to bend, thence
North 36° East 1 Chain 51 1/2 feet along stream to head ....
