Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto Henry S. Swinton, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Five Hundred and Twenty two Dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Peahi, Hamakua in the Island of Maui and described as follows:
Commencing at Lauhala standing on top of Sea Pali on boundary linr between this land and Kealiinui, and running along up the West boundary of this land to a place called Kawahinekihelei, by the following courses & distances. Viz.
South 14° 45' West 11 7/10 Chains, thence
South 34° West 6 3/4 Chains, thence
South 1° 45' East 6 65/100 Chains, thence
South 25° 45' West 6 7/10 Chains, thence
South 41° 30' West 8 15/100 Chains, thence
South 1° 15' East 21 7/10 Chains, thence
South 8° 15' West 34 Chains, thence
South 8° 30' West 41 4/10 C ....
