Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto William Miller Esquire H.B. Majesty Counsul [consul] General, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Four Thousand Six Hundred and Eight Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Beretania Town of Honolulu in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:
Commencing at makai West corner of this premises mauka side of Beretania Street joining Washington Place, and running
North 60° 15' East 3 Chains 13 2/12 feet along Washington Place to corner, thence
North 23° West 1 Chain 8 7/12 feet to corner, thence
North 63° 30' East 1 Chain 27 feet to corner of house slight angle, thence
North 52° 15' East 41 feet to wall jog, then offset 3 4/12 fe ....
