Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto John George Lewis, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of Eight Hundred Dollars, paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Kaukahoku, Nuuanu, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:

Commencing at makai West corner of this Lot on South East side of main road, joining Mahoe's Land, and running
South 46° 15' East 2 Chains 22 4/12 10 feet along Mahoe's to angle of wall, thence
South 21° 30' East 2 Chains 11 10/12 feet to angle of wall, thence
South 40° 30' East 3 Chains 6 7/12 feet to anlge of wall, thence
South 46° East 1 chain 38 3/12 feet along Mahoe's to ....
