Kamehameha III, By the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known, unto all men, that he has for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given, absolutely, in Fee Simple unto William Richards, his faithful and loyally disposed subject for the consideration of fifty dollars paid into the Royal Exchequer, all that certain piece of Land situated at Beretania, in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:
Beginning at the West corner of the yard of Mr. Dominis on the mauka side of the wall of Beritania Street & running
North 55° East along the wall bounding Mr. Dominis' yard 4 chains and 38 feet to a small ston ....
