`Ili of Kanewai, Ahupua`a of Waikiki, Island of Oahu. I have three lo`i, one irrigation ditch and one house lot. On the east is the lo`i of Kauo, on the south is the lo`i of Lehuanui, on the west is the lo`i of Kawelo, on the north is the lo`i of Lehuanui. My lo`i is on the north. On the east is the lo`i of Nahinai. On the west is the lo`i of Niau, on the south is the lo`i of Lehuanui, on the north is the stream. Finished.

.... Umu, They (Mrs. Kalama and Kawelo) had given me this place in 1848, but I have never built a house for me there since, that time to the present.
Kawelo, I did not give him (land), he is a liar.
DECISION: The verdict (document) must be returned, the land officers have been in error and Section 3 will be laid aside for the konohiki because the time is limited.
Umu has returned the verdict and the land section has been checked, it is not for the konohiki.
