To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, the undersigned, was chosen by Judge Halai, the Judge of Hilo, as his substitute, under him, for his lot claim in Kalihi on the Island of Oahu. I will appear before you to tell you the reasons for his claim. When you direct me to appear before you, I will read his letter which tells of his claim.
I belleve that everything which was told me is the truth, because knew he was living on this claim before I sailed to live at Lahainaluna in the year 1841 and I also heard the konohiki say that he t ....

Honolulu is for Weuweu, the konohiki
Makai, for Alika and Kawao
Ewa, Weuweu's place.
Kupanea's interest is from Weuweu acquired in the year 1842 and he has lived there to this day in peace. Weuweu's property is from Kaunuohua, then he (Weuweu) gave to Halai.
Kahalehau, sworn, I have seen this house lot just as Kamoku has related here.
