To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: My land claim at Kaliawa, makai of Kalihi, Island of Oahu, is from the time of the commotion over Kaomi, until this day on which I peti-tion you. Beginning from mauka, one lo`i adjoins makai of the highway. Five lo`i adjoin makai of the road going down to the sea. The bound-aries of the kula are: on the north, the lo`is where the taro is growing, on the east the boundary of the land of Alika, on the south and west, the road.

Kapule, the daughter of Koikumuole, herself did say that her father had bequested the land to her and her brother.
Kukona, sworn, I have seen Koikumuole's land in Kalihi just as Kalaauolupe has just related here.
