Mauka is Pao"o land
Honolulu, Kanakanui's land
Makai, Kane's land and Kaohile
Ewa, Kalohe's land.
Pao had given Opu this land at the time of Kamehameha I and since that time Opu had lived there to the time of his death; no one had objected. Kaunuohua had been the konohiki during this time.
Pao, sworn, The land had been for my parents and Opu was under them, then he had bequested the land to me. I had asked him, "How about your son, he should have the land," and he said, "The konohiki would be the loser. He has a job and is doing very well there."
Nailiili: I had approved the bequest of my father to Pao. I have no intention of protesting to what he has received.
