The claim for my residence at Puaahuku, Hamakua, Hawaii. On March 19, 1831, I was sent for by the teachers and settled in this place. Then the teachers /and the/ landlord said to build a house at this place and I built a house. I was living at this one place, until, because of the breaking of my regular house, the governor said to me to build a new house and live at the place I know occupy. .... feel that perhaps, it has been delinquent. I have lived on my house lot at Puaahuku in the ili land called "Lalakea" of Waipio, Hamakua, Hawaii for sixteen years. I have built houses, and have planted orange trees. There has been a harvest of oranges from 20 trees for two years and thirty smaller orange trees are growing now. I am now building a stone house which I will complete as soon as the title is clear."
Here in Waipio are tenants who know definitely about his claim. I too know that his claim is true.
