To the Land Commissioners, Greetings in God: I, the undersigned, hereby tell you of my claim for land in the `ili of Kupaupalau, adjoining Paakea. There are two lo`i, bounded on the north by Hau; on the northeast by Pakea; on the southeast by Opukaala; on the west by a fallow section. There is also a claim for a little kula in the `ili of Maulukikepa, a house lot.

Kapawa, sworn, Nakai's testimony and mine are both similar. No one has objected (to him). Luhilani's claim has been postponed to Friday. See page 254.
