To the Land Commissioners, Greetings and peace from God: I, the undersigned, hereby tell you of my land claim in the `ili of Maulukikepa, adjoining Kanepuaa in Waikiki waena. Three lo`i, a kula, and an irrigation ditch are bounded on the north by the lo`i of Kaana-ana; on the northeast by the lo`i of Kekukahiko; on the southeast by Kaanaana; on the west by the lo`i of Kekukahiko.

He (Loiloa) is the konohiki for section one under Kekukahiko, who is the konohiki under the king. Sections II and III are from me for I am an overseer under Kaihe, who is the konohiki under the king."
Kekukahiko, sworn and stated, "I have seen this land exactly as Hopuia has related to you."
