Land Commissioners, House of Privy Council, Greetings to you all: I hereby tell you of all my land claims in Kalihi. Taro land claim: they are scattered in various places of other's mo`os. There are a total of three lo`i, two in the land of Aki wahine, one in the land of Keawe, however, these lo`is are all in Mokauea, in Kalihi uka on this side.

"Sand hill" ponds and the houselot, etc., are in Kalihi kai. Three "sand hill" ponds, one houselot and some salt beds; two sand-hill ponds on this side of an estuary of Kalihi and the salt beds and one sand hill pond are on the other side of the estuary. These claims were acquired in 1840 and are held by me at this time. The house claim is on the piko /juncture ....

All of these lands of Kahalekai have been from Aki, given at the time Kinau was governor and he has lived in peace to the present time."
