To the Land Commissioners, Respectful Greetings: I hereby state my land claim at Mokauea, an 'ili in Kalihi, Island of Oahu, as follows:
A house adjoins makai of the land fence. Two lo`i adjoin mauka of the lo'i of Keawe, one lo'i adjoins makai of Aki's lo'i. One lo`i adjoins mauka of the lo'i po'alima of Aki, one lo'i adjoins makai of the lo'i of Kalo, one lo'i adjoins makai of the lo'i of Manua and a kula, one lo'i adjoins leeward of the lo'i po'alima of Aki, one lo'i adjoins leeward of the lo'i of Ku, one lo'i adjoins leeward of the lo'i of Hio, one lo'i is between the two lo'is of Ku, one farm plot inland adjoins makai of Ohule's farm plot. Those are my land claims.

Kahupukahi's land is from Napalupalu, given in the year 1839. Napalupalu is now dead. Kahopukahi had been a supervising konohiki under Kinopu. He had also been a konohiki under Kaunuohua, his daughter. He was a caretaker for the king and is now a konohiki. No one has ever objected to him to this day."
