Greetings to the Land Commissioners sitting on the island of Oahu: I hereby state my claim of occupancy on the island of Kauai. The length on the west is 33 fathoms, close to Nahau's lot; the length on the east is 33 fathoms, close to Kaupe's lot; the width on the south is 15 fathoms, along the seashore; on the north the width is 15 fathoms. The circumference is 96 fathoms. The land and the kula was given me by Mareko.
The claim, whose dimensions have been given, is for two lo`i, at Waioli. There is also a kula with these lo`is whose dimensions are 50 by 25. Farewell to you, the ....
