To the Honorable Commissioners, for quieting Land Titles, Gentlemen:
Agreeable to your public notice I hand to you my claim for a house lot now occupied by me, measuring as follows:
Lower side facing water side and residence of William French @ 190 ft. in length
Upper side facing Pookapu plains @ 230 feet in length

.... and I had given to him. I had received this interest from Pahupu in 1843 by a sale of one cow and a horse and this had included the lot also. In the year 1844, William Hughes acquired this land together with everything I had there for five cows. No one has objected to this day.
