To the Honorable Board of Land Commissioners &c.
Gentlemen: The undersigned begs leave to lay before You his claims to certain lots of land situated at Lahaina Island of Maui. The Survey of which lands were handed into the late Mr. Richards in the early part of last March.
The said lands were given to me by His Majesty, Kamehameha III, in May 1836; testimony to which can be brought forward whenever it may be required.
Trusting that You will adjudicate my claim as early as possible.

Namauu, sworn by the Word of God and stated, "I have seen the house site of Huakini Paniolo. When he had acquired this he had also received the leles named Moanui in the year 1837. Hoapili had said that place makai of the street to be for the guests of that area; on the makai side is the government road; at Olowalu is Wahinepio's lot; mauka, Kapule's lot and at Kaanapali is Piikoi's property."
